It’s hard to love your body. I know this because I’ve been there. I have struggled with my weight and self-esteem, which led me to not feel comfortable in my skin for a long time. But as someone who has had that experience of being unhappy with herself, I can tell you that it is possible to change the way you see yourself and the world around you. How? With one key thing: acceptance. Learning how to truly love your body. Don’t believe me? That’s okay. Miss K has unlocked the secret to this: acceptance, and is ready to share it with us!
“This is my FOURTH session with Simply Lush, “Miss K said. ” My decision to book again was mainly driven by my ever-changing experience with myself. The journey I’ve been on since session one has morphed from promising not to live my life in fear to actively achieving my personal goals now that fear no longer drives me and passion does. My newest personal goal has been to be present in every moment. This fourth session has challenged me like no other before it in regard to this goal.
I always had a tendency to ruminate on the past or fret about the future. I’ve always felt like I was missing out on moments right beneath my feet. For this session, I wasn’t focusing on whether I chose the right outfit or if I posed well enough to be photographed. I lived comfortably in my skin during this session. Focused on how I felt and how I could express that. That shows me that the confidence I have in myself and my body has grown by leaps and bounds since my first session. It wasn’t even on my mind this time around.
To my surprise, I almost fully relinquished any cluttered thoughts. I released myself to the poses and lived that moment in my own skin, in my own vibe. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve done a lot of work over the years to be able to have that moment, but it was so worth it. I’m so proud of that. It made me feel CAPABLE. It made me feel FREE. It made me feel strong even in moments where I let go, where I’d historically be at my most vulnerable. There is strength in vulnerability, in letting the walls crash down. I’m proud of myself as I stand here in this very moment.
My favorite part of this experience was exploring more of the emotional side of the session rather than the physical. Most people think your physical being is what’s photographed, and it’s true! But what’s truly special is how I felt when I forgot about that part completely and allowed my soul to be photographed, my whole vibe. It wasn’t just photographs of my body but of the entire essence of me. There are many journeys you’ll take in life. This journey here? This one is transformative. Boudoir can change the trajectory of how you see yourself and others if you let it. It’s so important. If you’re waiting for the right time, that time is now. Any journey can begin on your command and you’re absolutely ready for it. You always have been.”

I’ve had two sessions with Ashley and each time I met a new version of myself.
They were absolutely beautiful and captured the essence of who I am.
